Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot has announced plans to spearhead a Bill compelling all counties to deploy a cashless system tabled in the Senate. Meanwhile, Cheruiyot blamed the current cash system under use by the county governments, claiming that it is prone to bottlenecks and pilferage. Ruto further blamed the cash system for being slippery and an avenue for corruption that could be eliminated by technology. However, Ruto laid his remarks after the high court suspended the implementation of the payment system for all national schools.
