Two suspects arrested in Mymensingh over alleged rape of Garo teenagerPolice have arrested two individuals, including a battery-powered rickshaw driver, for the alleged rape of a Garo teenager in Mymensingh’s Haluaghat. The arrestees are Abul Bashar, 22, and his accomplice Md Milon Mia, 21, Haluaghat Police chief Md Hafizul Islam Harun said on Wednesday, adding that Abul was detained earlier in the day and Milon on Tuesday night. “On the way home, the rickshaw driver Abul took the girl to a secluded place and raped her,” it said. The mother emphasised the assault was forced, saying: “Milon already knew my daughter... We demand justice.”Officer Harun said the key suspect and his accomplice were apprehended and will be sent to court on Thursday.
