Two more people have died of dengue while 326 new patients have been hospitalised with the Aedes mosquito-borne disease across Bangladesh over the past 24 hours. The number of patients hospitalised with the disease this year rose to 8,870, while the tally of deaths climbed to 36, bdnews24.com reports. In 2024, a total of 101,214 patients were hospitalised due to dengue nationwide, with 575 fatalities reported. The DGHS has been keeping records of dengue hospitalisations and fatalities since 2000. A record 321,179 dengue hospitalisations were logged in 2023.
