– Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he is remembering the victims of Flight PS752, four years after it was shot down by Iranian forces. Before joining mourners in Richmond Hill, Ontario, to mark the solemn anniversary, Trudeau issued a statement expressing his solidarity with those who have lost loved ones in this and other air disasters. The Richmond Hill celebration on Monday will include speeches, demonstrations and special presentations. In addition to the prime minister, Foreign Minister Mélanie Jolie, Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland and Transport Minister Pablo Rodriguez are expected to attend. It is one of several events being held globally to commemorate the anniversary, and a candlelight vigil was held in Toronto yesterday.
