A police officer has been arrested in the ongoing crackdown conducted by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission. The traffic cop was arrested over bribery allegations. During the arrest, a group of unknown people allegedly attempted to interfere with the arrest in defence of the officer, but the Commission officers repulsed them. On Tuesday, EACC arrested two police officers at a police base within Bungoma County for alleged bribery. The anti-corruption commission has been conducting the operations in the wake of an increase in cases of extortion.
