Restaurant Brands International Inc. increased total quarterly sales by nearly US$974 million, pushing the total to US$9.8 billion across its four fast-food brands — Tim Hortons , Burger King, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and Firehouse Subs. In its first round of reporting, in February, RBI revealed the average Tim Hortons restaurant made $220,000 in annual earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization. Tim Hortons increased sales by about 11 per cent to US$1.73 billion in the first quarter compared with the first quarter of 2022, when COVID-19 was still impacting traffic and sales in the food service. The pandemic-induced shift to working from home dealt a serious blow to Tim Hortons, which depended on morning commuters for a significant part of its business.
