Carroll three-star running back Davis Penn announced his pledge to the Bears. As a sophomore at Southlake Carroll, Penn was named the District 6A-4 Newcomer of the Year after rushing for 1594 yards and 30 touchdowns. With eight games over 100 yards, Penn reached the century mark in more than half of the Dragons' games in 2023. Once he enters the college ranks in 2026, the three-star running back will continue to follow in the footsteps of his older brother, Penn State offensive lineman Addison Penn, who earned all-state honors at Carroll before signing with Duke in 2020. Penn, who chose Baylor over Wisconsin, Arizona State, Toledo and Texas State, ranks as the nation's 25th-ranked running back in industry-generated 247Sports Composite rankings.
