Thousands took to the streets in Venezuela to protest against a disputed election whose victory electoral authorities handed to President Nicolás Maduro. Demonstrations were reported across the country, including in Falcón, where footage showed people tearing down a statue of Hugo Chávez as the Venezuelan opposition claimed an 'irreversible victory' with more than 6m votes
