“It’s almost as if they have been told to increase revenue across all trade lanes and if not vessels will get pulled,” a DCN correspondent opined. ANL will be implementing a rate restoration program from 15 July, at US$300/TEU dry/reefer and US$600/FEU dry/reefer for all shipments from North East Asia to Australia East Coast, Fremantle, Adelaide & New Zealand. This increase will apply on top of current Spot/FAK rates subject to all applicable surcharges valid on time of shipment. The following day [1 August] ANL will lift rates from ANZ to Tahiti by US$100/dry TEU, $200/high-cube FEU, $500/reefer TEU and $1000/reefer FEU. In better news there has been clarification that a previously-advised [18 June] announcement of a substantial CMA CGM PSS to West Coast North America does not apply to cargo from Oceania.
