(Photo: First Army Region)A private Thai company was found to have been illegally providing internet service across the border to Cambodia for the purpose of committing technology-related crime, police said after inspecting a signal cabinet in Aranyaprathet district of Sa Kaeo province on Wednesday. The IP address, No. Sa Kaeo police, Technology Crime police and officials from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) inspected the site on Wednesday and confirmed it was providing internet signals to the neighbouring country. The investigation found the Cambodian telecom company, Viettel Pte Ltd, was leasing and using the signals through the terminal address.
