When Ms Daka activated the earbuds' audio alert, the sound startled Mr Thanin, who fled into the jungle and up a mountain. Mr Channarong admitted to police that he had bought drugs from Mr Thanin on several occasions. He was charged with drug use and driving under the influence and was handed to Koh Phangan police for prosecution.
