Chaos erupted Thursday morning outside Meru County Assembly after two factions of supporters clashed. Supporters of Governor Kawira Mwangaza turned up and gathered outside the precincts of the building as security officers kept vigil. Kinya, the deputy majority leader, is the mover of the previous impeachment motion. The tabling of the motion comes amid a debacle between the county assembly members and the governor. On Wednesday last week, Meru High Court through Judge Linus Kassan Poghon said Njuri Ncheke should handle the case.
