India signed a free trade agreement with the United Arab Emirates in May last year. India is also negotiating a free trade agreement with Canada, the European Union and Britain. Steady progress has been seen in the ongoing talks with several countries to establish a bilateral free trade agreement. India considers multilateral trade agreements as mutually beneficial.
