CAIRO – 24January 2023: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi Said that he is happy and proud to visit India and participate in the Republic Day celebrations as a main guest. Replying to India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweet, Sisi said: ‘I’m very happy and proud to visit India and participate in the Republic Day celebrations as a main guest, which makes us more determined to continue strengthening bilateral relations and the distinguished coordination between us... Earlier, PM Modi tweeted: “Warm welcome to India, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. Your historic visit to India as Chief Guest for our Republic Day celebrations is a matter of immense happiness for all Indians. The presidency's spokesperson, Ambassador Bassam Rady, highlighted in a press statement that the invitation underscores the close ties between Egypt and India, and the extent to which India values relations with Egypt.
