It has been reported that Manchester United have sacked Sir Alex Ferguson from his lucrative position of Global Ambassador. Sir Alex is viewed as the single most influential figure in United’s history and one of the greatest managers of all-time, leading them to nine league titles in his 26 years as manager. He retired in 2013 and has served as their Global Ambassador for most of the last decade. But The Athletic now report that as part of a shakeup by new part-owners INEOS, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has decided to part ways.
