(screenshot)Police discovered scammers' SIM boxes installed in the ceiling of a room in Nong Khai the landlord said a woman insisted on renting, saying she had stayed in it before and refusing any other room. Pol Lt Col Apichart Koltha, an inspector at Nong Khai immigration office, said the inspection followed a call from the landlord. He informed police that a Thai woman called to ask about renting a room around 11pm on Jan 9. Upon inspection, police found three SIM boxes, two wireless internet routers, three power adapters and one power strip wired to supply electricity to the SIM boxes, all hidden in the ceiling.
