Naushad, the father of Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khan, issued a cautionary statement to cricket enthusiasts regarding the proliferation of fake social media accounts impersonating him. These accounts were deceiving aspiring cricketers by soliciting money under false pretenses such as IPL net bowler selections, cricket academies, and state team placements. Sarfaraz’s younger brother, Musheer, has also been making waves in domestic cricket while representing the Mumbai state team. On the pretext of getting entry into the IPL as net bowlers, or for state, academy selection, those accounts are asking kids for money.
