King Charles is mourning his longtime friend Ian Farquhar, who has died at the age of 78 at the monarch's Highgrove Estate, where he was renting a farmhouse. He attended Rose’s wedding in 2022 and she was invited to his wedding to Kate Middleton in 2011. Although Rose and William’s relationship didn’t last, Ian and Charles (77) became friends around this time and remained in each other’s lives. “He used to go and have dinner with the king and drive home across the fields,” a source told the Daily Mail. Charles is yet to talk publicly about his friend’s death.
