Officers were alerted to the crime and after checking CCTV, the feeder was tracked down to Clarence Street. It was then returned to the owner within 24 hours of being taken. A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "As part of our ongoing patrols in Stoke-on-Trent, officers located a bird feeder which had been reported as stolen less than 24 hours before. The bird feeder was returned to its owner who was very thankful.
