The Scottish Government has been humiliated after being forced to publish over 100 pages of Ministerial WhatsApp material it previously claimed didn't exist. Government officials claimed over two years ago that the material did not exist and critics have now accused the Nat executive of "misleading" the public. The documents show messages from Nicola Sturgeon, Humza Yousaf and former Health Secretary Jeane Freeman. At the UK Covid Inquiry earlier this year, Ms Sturgeon admitted deleting her WhatsApps despite previously vowing to hand everything over. Ministers had previously insisted iun December 2021 that they did not have a record of any WhatsApp messages.
