President William Ruto on Friday appointed Tom Mshindi Nyamancha as the Chairman of the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC). In a notice, the President noted that Mshindi will be serving in the position for three years effective January 19, 2024. Mshindi takes over from Benjamin Maingi whose appointment was revoked. Mshindi brings on board years of experience in journalism and media. He has also acted as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Monitor Publications, a subsidiary of Nation Media Group (NMG) in Uganda and served as a consulting editor and writer for Tom Mshindi Consulting.
