President Putin announced an Easter truce in Ukraine on Saturday, in a move that was met with scepticism in Kyiv as attacks continued. The Russian leader hailed a 30-hour ceasefire coming into effect that evening in a gesture that, according to Ukraine, soon bore no relation to life on the ground.
