Rob Burrow, the former rugby league star who came to national attention following his diagnosis with motor neurone disease, has died at the age of 41. Burrow, one of the modern era’s great players who won every domestic honour available in a stellar career with Leeds as well as being capped by both England and Great Britain, was diagnosed with the condition in 2019 and helped inspire almost £20m in fundraising to support people living with MND.
