Alexander-Arnold could be allowed to move thanks to the creation of a special transfer window by FIFA from June 1 to June 10 specifically for the Club World Cup. That comes after Liverpool rejected an approach from Los Merengues to sign Alexander-Arnold during the January transfer window. The impending arrival of Alexander-Arnold follows the major coup Real pulled off by announcing Alonso as their new manager. Alonso - who played for both Liverpool and Real during a fine career as a central midfielder - will officially assume his new post on June 1.
