Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are hoping to find a base in the UK so they can try and heal the rift with the royal family. But their plans have hit a major stumbling block with the Duke of Sussex worried about his family's safety. Harry and Meghan quit the UK for America in 2020 and have only returned sporadically. Their much-publicised rift with King Charles and Prince William has left them alienated in their Californian mansion. In a written statement to the court, Harry had expressed his desire to return to the UK, calling it his "home".
