As a Black woman in nonprofit management, the terrain beneath me has often felt rough, uncharted. Because while Black women holding formal leadership roles is a development of recent years, Black women have been organizing philanthropy for decades. The Future I Am DreamingLeading as a Black woman can also be a matter of life and death. Society brushes these under the rug that they then ask the same Black women leaders to vacuum. This sector continues to be unforgiving toward Black women leaders.
