Politicians in Kiambu county have been urged to stop divisive politics and instead support President William Ruto's presidency. Kanu, Limuru constituency chairman John Karanja advised leaders to stop the debate on who will be Ruto’s running mate in the next general elections. Karanja, a former powerful youth leader during former President Daniel Moi's regime said comparing Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua with any other leader amounts to disrespect. He urged the leaders to focus on serving their electorates instead of dividing the region. He said Kanu leaders in the region are in full support of Ruto and Gachagua’s Kenya Kwanza government.
