Crime & Punishment of Saturday, 24 January 2026Source: rainbowradioonline.comThe Accra Regional Police Command has apprehended three foreign nationals suspected of engaging in SIM box fraud activities at the Sakumono Ramsar Site in Accra. The suspects, identified as Timileyin Fakunle, 30; Begun Adedeji, 31; and Olamide Roheemot, 28, were arrested in separate apartments. Items retrieved during the arrest were sophisticated electronic devices, SIM boxes, and assorted SIM cards believed to have been utilised in the alleged fraudulent activities. They also revealed that the alleged leader of the group, identified as Tomy, a Chinese national who remotely controls the SIM boxes, remains at large. The Accra Regional Police Command has advised the public against renting or subletting premises to unknown individuals without conducting thorough background checks.
