Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an arson in Datchet this morning (May 1) following a barn fire in which a horse died. The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service called the police to a barn fire near Mill Lane Caravan Park at around 3.40am. Firefighters extinguished the fire but one horse died and another was rescued. “I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information about this arson to please come forward. “Alternatively, you can provide information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
