Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed a high-level Chinese delegation headed by Minister Liu Jianchao during his speech at the China-Pakistan Consultative Mechanism meeting in Islamabad. During his remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Dar emphasized the consultative mechanism’s distinctiveness, calling it a critical forum for encouraging deeper partnership and growth between Pakistan and China. “The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has significantly advanced social and sustainable development, fostering regional cooperation,” said Deputy Prime Minister Dar. Moreover, Chinese Minister Liu Jianchao expressed satisfaction with the joint consultative mechanism meeting, emphasizing the Chinese leadership’s dedication to strengthening bilateral ties. Minister Liu recalled Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to China, where leaders discussed regional and global issues and agreed to bolster strategic cooperation.
