Pakistan and Ethiopia, on Thursday, agreed to strengthen bilateral relations and explore new collaborations in trade, finance, education, and economic reforms, acknowledging the mutual benefits of such initiatives. According to a press release from the finance ministry, Ambassador of Ethiopia to Pakistan, Jemal Beker Abdula, met with Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb on Thursday. The finance minister extended a warm welcome to Abdula and provided an overview of the economic reforms underway in Pakistan, aimed at achieving economic stability. The minister noted that international rating agencies have started acknowledging Pakistan’s economic stability, with recent Fitch reports confirming an improved economic outlook. The Ethiopian envoy proposed exploring educational cooperation, specifically promoting student exchange and scholarship programmes to provide Ethiopian students with opportunities to study in Pakistan.
