As important as the Dane was in 2022/23, it was clear United needed younger legs in the engine room. He made just 14 Premier League appearances, nine of which were via the bench. But following two weeks of training, it is highly likely they will start the Premier League opener against Fulham six days later. He is an established Premier League player, has represented England at international tournaments and played a key role in the winning goal in a Champions League final.
