Maric says she was 'stunned' by the price difference in grocery shopping in Ireland compared to New Zealand, with food prices in her home country proving far more expensive than here. Many of Maric's TikTok followers couldn't believe the food prices in Ireland, with one person commenting, "Wtf omg here in NZ that would be well over $100," while another said, "€34 what the heck! The price of all food types was higher in Ireland than the EU average, except for fish, which was 3 per cent cheaper.
