The Liberian Senate during the week confirmed Retired Major/General Prince Charles Johnson, III as Liberia’s new the defense minister. The new Defense Minister prior to his new portfolio led the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) as its Chief of Staff for six years exceptional performed well to ship the professional services of the nation’s army. In the AFL he subsequently served as a number of positions, including Chief of Operations at the AFL HQ. In 2018, President George Weah appointed Johnson as the new Chief of Staff of the AFL, with the promotion to the rank of Major General. The Senate of Liberia confirmed Johnson as new Chief of Staff on February 6, 2018.
