NZ Herald political reporter: Hipkins ruled out wealth tax to maintain strong party vote

Chris Hipkins confirmed he's pausing tax changes while he's in office. Documents revealed that Labour had planned to introduce a wealth tax affecting 46,000 New Zealanders, but that plan was ultimately scrapped.
