5 die after gold mine collapses in MarsabitAt least five people have been killed and several others are missing after an informal gold mine collapsed in Hillo, Marsabit County. The bodies of five miners were recovered from the artisanal mine in Hillo and three others were unaccounted for, regional commissioner Paul Rotich confirmed. Two injured miners have been taken to hospital. “The place collapsed because of the rains,” Marsabit County Commissioner David Saruni told NTV.
