Authorities at the National Commission on Higher Education (NCHE) have invalidated the accreditations of four higher learning institutions in the country. A statement signed and released on December 6, by the NCHE Director-General, Professor Lama Wonkeryor, indicated that those institutions do not meet the standards that qualify the operations of higher learning institutions. “As the result of the inspection being carried out at the institutions’ learning facilities, campuses, statuses of accreditation with the NCHE, and the lack of compliance to the NCHE’s regulations, among several others,” he said. “We want the public to discontinue businesses effective immediately until the statuses of accreditation of these institutions are revalidated by the NCHE. He said violators will be subjected to the mandates and policy of the NCHE governing the operations of higher education institutions in Liberia.
