Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has called on the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) countries to use trade to enhance prosperity among member states. Addressing leaders from about 120 who have converged in Kampala for the 19th Summit of NAM, Museveni further said member countries should use science and technology to deal with human problems, the environment, crime and terrorism. “The future is bright if we act right,” Museveni told presidents, Heads of State and Governments and the Heads of Delegations of the NAM countries attending the week-long event. About 4,000 guests from different member states are attending the weeklong summit that started on Monday. It also includes the non-UN member state of Palestine, 17 other observer countries and 10 observer organisations.
