Morocco has called for a political solution and an inclusive dialogue to preserve the unity and territorial integrity of Sudan, and reaffirmed readiness to provide all the necessary support to help the brotherly country overcome this difficult period and build a future of peace, stability and prosperity that meets the aspirations of its people. In this regard, he called on the Chairperson of the AU Commission to continue to use his good offices to step-up the resumption of dialogue between the various stakeholders. “We urge all parties involved in the conflict to exercise restraint and endeavor, in a spirit of calm and compromise, to find a solution worthy of Sudan that will preserve its stability, unity and territorial integrity,” Arrouchi underlined. He added that supporting Sudan to reach a political solution should be guided by an assessment of the vital needs of the Sudanese people. This implies a holistic approach that considers the peace, security and development dimension to establish a solid basis for a lasting solution.
