The Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed Al-Rida, accompanied by the Undersecretary for Rehabilitation Affairs and in the presence of the Ambassador of South Korea to Libya, opened (last Thursday 7 March) new training departments at the Libyan Korean Vocational Training Centre. The new departments are in the fields of computers, welding, sewing, and plumbing, which were developed with advanced equipment for the first time in Libya. The Minister, accompanied by the Ambassador, also opened a new department for detecting car faults, supported by modern training equipment, and with the full support of Korea. At the conclusion of the visit, His Excellency the Minister honoured the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea for her efforts and those who excelled at the centre. It is noteworthy that the Libyan Korean Center was established in 2008 based on a cooperation agreement with the State of Libya, represented by the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation, for vocational training and support for small and medium enterprises according to the needs of society and the labour market.
