The Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Hwej, met last Tuesday (30 January) with business owners and Egyptian companies participating in the activities of the Libya Food Exhibition, in the presence of the Chairman of the Privatization and Investment Board (PIB), the Chairman of the General Authority for Exhibitions, the Minister’s Advisor, and the President of the Libyan-Egyptian Chamber of Commerce. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Libya Food Exhibition held at the Tripoli International Fairgrounds from 28 – 31 January where 39 Egyptian companies were exhibiting. The Minister stressed the importance of activating the trade agreements concluded between the two countries to support trade exchange, facilitate the movement of business owners, and stimulate the investment partnership between the private sector. During his speech, he urged Egyptian companies to explore the promising investment opportunities in various sectors and build a partnership with the local private sector to establish investment projects and benefit from the advantages granted by the Libyan Investment Law to local and foreign investors.
