The Municipal Council of Zulten has condemned the assassination attempt that targeted its Mayor, Omar Saleh Al-Saghir. In a statement, the council held the relevant security and law enforcement agencies responsible for the security chaos in the region, warning it would take action and close the municipality's entrances "to protect" its residents from such acts. The mayor of Zulten was subjected to an assassination attempt on Tuesday night after unidentified gunmen opened fire on his car.
