The family of Max, a three-year-old dog abandoned by his owner due to financial circumstances, has decided to find the young canine a new home. The Toronto Humane Society said a “strong lead” led to Max’s family Monday morning, one week after the dog was left with a note in a Toronto parkette. Max was found a week ago at Primrose Avenue Parkette near Davenport Road and St. Clair Avenue. On the note, Max’s owner said they couldn’t afford to look after the dog after losing their job and their home. Max, who will be four in June, is described in the note as “good with kids” and a “very smart” dog.
