CAIRO – 14 July 2021: Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population said that the “Maternal and Fetal Health” presidential initiative aims to monitor the health of the mother and newborn until 42 days after birth. The initiative provides a range of health services for the mother and the newborn, the most important of which are:1- Early detection of infection of Hepatitis B, human immunodeficiency virus and syphilis for pregnant women. 2- Follow-up on the health status of the mother and newborn for 42 days, after pregnancy, to discover risk factors. 9- Conducting various necessary analysis to detect anemia. 11- Conducting a complete urine analysis to detect albumin and urinary system diseases.
