KULAI: A 46-year-old man was beaten up by members of the public for allegedly trying to break into a house of a woman in Jalan Tan Yok Fong, here. “A team was dispatched to the location and upon arrival, they had found the man with injuries after he was beaten by the public. “Investigations revealed that the incident occurred when the woman was sleeping and noticed that the man had tried to break into her house. The man then tried to run away after the victim’s friend arrived,” he said in a statement here. Supt Tok added that a background check revealed that the man had six prior drug and crime-related offences on his record.
