In doing so, he established a remarkable world record for the longest continuous employment with a single company. Walter Orthmann spent 84 years working in a company called Industrias Renox that later adopted a new name, Renox View. He has spent the last 84 years working in this company, setting the record for the maximum period one has worked in a single company by the Guinness World Records. None ever spent such a long period in a single company before. In an interview reviewing his record, Walter said he never gives much thought to the future, and neither does he waste his time thinking about the past.
