The government of Malaysia has initiated the placement of 5,000 vending machines to offer meals in public locations, according to a report at thestar.com. Rafizi Ramli, the minister of the economy, expects to procure 4,900 machines under the People's Income Initiative within two months. So far, 100 machines have completed the procurement process. The ministry is in the process of evaluating qualified applicants through an open procurement process. The demand for the machines is highest in public places like hospitals and campuses.
