Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera is set to address the nation regarding the missing aircraft that was carrying the country's Vice President Saulos Chilima and nine others. An aircraft carrying Malawi's vice president went missing on Monday Morning after disappearing from airport radars. “The public is hereby informed that Chakwera will address the nation today at 12pm (1 pm Kenyan Time). The address will be broadcast live on Malawi Broadcasting Corporation platforms and other media channels,” the invite read. A senior military official told the BBC that the plane carrying Malawi's vice president may have crashed in a forest in the north of the country.
