The epicenter of the temblor was located at sea, about 36.5km south-southeast of Yilan County Hall at a depth of 15.2km, the agency said. The quake also measured an intensity of 3 in Hualien County, 2 in New Taipei City and 1 in Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu County, Taichung and Nantou County, the CWA added.
