Liberia men’s national football team’s recent back-to-back defeat against Cape Verde in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers has resulted in a downward movement in the team’s ranking, as they dropped six places in the latest FIFA Rankings released on Thursday. Unfortunately, the latest ranking shows that Liberia has returned to the 150th position globally, and to the 46th on the continent. Their position in the next FIFA ranking now depends on the results from their next two games against Nigeria and the Central African Republic. Meanwhile, on the African continent, Senegal remained the best-ranked team followed by Tunisia and Morocco as the leading three countries in the continent.
